WELCOME TO MY BLOG!
To simplify, I'm a cowboy's wife, ranch-kid mama, rural living home-maker (hallelujah Amazon Prime!) and traveling photographer capturing the love & life stories of our western culture.
This is where I share my recent weddings and couples.

They got ready in their childhood homes just down the road from each other, shared the most touching first look in the meadow near where they will build their first home, were officiated by their dads and surrounded the entire day with friends and family who were simply beaming as these two started the next chapter of their lives together.
It wasn’t just the high mountain allergies making the onlookers sniff during this ceremony. Neither was it the sun making their kids and grandkids eyes water. It was the way Chane and Amy looked at each other during their meaning-filled, non-traditional ceremony where they were attended by their children, danced and shared their story (which you can read more of from their engagement)…setting the stage for their vows to each other and their families.
She’s a world traveling author and speaker from New York…and he’s a career military man based out of Miami. After being introduced to each other by their parents, Nelson and Nikki fell in love, had the beach wedding of their dreams and set out on a road trip of a lifetime…having sessions shot at some of their favorite places like San Fransisco, and the Las Vegas strip.
The grand organ pipes gave me goosebumps as they came to life when this beautiful bride came down the isle. And in the presence of God, family and a whole pile of Texas Techies, Kelli and Griffin promised each other life together.
Homegrown succulents. Red vintage trucks. Handmade leather accents. Turquoise Jewelry. This California Ranch Wedding at the foot of the Sutter Buttes was singing my language! But even more than the pretty venue, the gorgeous details or GLORIOUS sunset lighting…working with this couple and their kind families just made my heart so happy.
…The Groom, Father of the Bride and Father of the Groom…embolden by a little strong drink and backed-up by the Dennison County Line Band…howled out a ridiculous song about some lady in Louisiana with all they were worth. It definitely wasn’t a typical “wedding song” but as I watched the three of them up there sharing a mic I was struck by the way it really spoke about the bond these two separate families have built through the journey Ricky, Alyssa and their son Max have shared bringing them all to that moment. And THAT is why this pregnant photographer got a little teary eyed listening to a song about a voodoo lady named Marie Laveau. #youwouldcrytooifyouhadthesehormones
I immediately fell in love with the legit Pendleton accents everywhere! It was so perfect for Trista’s southwestern inspired theme and details! Look out “shoe shots”!
The Virginia sky was blue and the sun shone warm and bright on a day that was supposed to be cold, cloudy and rainy. Everything for this intimate hilltop wedding fell together exactly how it needed to in preparation for the moment Audrey rode the mule she’d grown up with to her favorite spot, the place where she would become Josh’s wife.
Even more meaningful and beautiful than all the pretty details and the stunning location was the way the newlyweds laughed with each other…being themselves and absolutely enjoying the best day of their lives.
