I had so much fun getting to know Austin Adams & Katy (of Katy Jade Designs) when I photographed their Nevada Valley of Fire Engagement Session. So I knew that getting to photograph them again (this time on the ranch outside of Steamboat Springs Colorado) was going to be stunning!

When Katy mentioned a river I made sure to throw in some wading shoes. And while I really struggled to keep from falling down the entire time I was shooting…I miraculously managed to keep me and the cameras dry. And while Nelson did fall, no cameras were dunked or damaged in the process. He’s fine too BTW.

Speaking of my favorite husband I need to properly credit and thank him for being a wonderful second shooter. And in case you wonder if he’s any good as my free slave labor…he took three of the first four photos.

Ps. Thanks Austin for being “so excited” for me to take your photos again. You guys are the best!
