I’ve looked forward to Bodie & Rachels’s Southwest Style New Mexico Wedding since they booked me but especially after I got to know them during their engagement session. And while the weather leading up to the day of the wedding was a heck of a winter storm…the day of their wedding dawned sunny and beautiful. Cold. Still VERY cold…but of so beautiful.

While they currently live in Minnesota (to their advantage in the cold) Bodie and Rachel were both raised in New Mexico and wanted to return to the southwest to celebrate their life together with their family and friends.

Bodie is a blacksmith by trade and so it was no surprise that the bridal party bouquets were custom made by him. I fell in LOVE with them! And you’ll also notice the centerpieces are similar and were made by his dad of World Championship Blacksmiths.

There was so much to love and so many sweet moments that happened during the wedding day…but if I had to choose JUST ONE I think it would have to be when they climbed onto the vintage tricycle that had been given to them as a wedding gift and rode around the reception.

And special thanks to the Sandia Mountain Range for BRINGING IT with a magical dusting of snow and a breathtaking alpenglow on November 30, 2019.

Ps. DID YOU SEE THE FLORALS AND WEDDING ARBOR? The downside to traveling so much is that I don’t often get to work with my friends who are in the local New Mexico wedding community. But I was so tickled to get to work with my friends from Floriography And she DOES TRAVEL. Just saying. AND I finally got to meet makeup artist Genica Lee!
