I was obsessed with this Red Bluff California Ranch Wedding before I ever got there. Not only because I fell in love with Cole & Elsie during their Moab Utah Engagement session, but also because I’d been watching from afar as Elsie and her planner Jodi of CES Weddings shared behind the scenes stories of their preparations.  Their creation is what ranch wedding dreams are made of!

The morning of the wedding, Cole caught their horses and waited with them for the “first look” under the bluff where he’d proposed to Elsie. When she arrived, they were both giddy with excitement and anticipation as we set up for them to turn and face each other. The shots of Elsie with her hands in her face aren’t of her crying tears (those came later as she walked down the aisle) but of her just laughing. And my favorite moment is the way he lights up when he turns and lays eyes on her.

The word “unbelievable” was used a lot throughout the day…and I’m gonna use it again to describe the reception in the corrals. The rows upon rows of dreamy tablescapes pulled together by an amazing team of people was just unbelievable. And then, even more unbelievable was the magical light that shown on it all just as guests were finding their seats for dinner.

So often at weddings, I want to pinch myself just to make sure I’m not dreaming up such amazing clients and beautiful places. Cole, Elsie and their families on this ranch outside of Red Bluff Californa were no exception. Words can’t describe how honored I feel to have been a part of this special time in Cole & Elsie’s lives. I wish them the best of luck and can’t until our paths cross again!
