Both born and raised in the same small town in Pennsylvania, Nolan & Julia met in high school and have been together for 7 years. So while they both already knew that they wanted to share their lives forever, the way Nolan proposed was a complete surprise for Julia!

Julia has been attending college at Texas A&M while Nolan has been home in Pennsylvania growing his Auctioneer business. So when he came to Texas during spring break last year they loaded up their camping/hiking gear and drove to Big Bend National Park. They reached the top of the mountain they’d been climbing as the sun was ready to set and Julia didn’t think anything of it when he set up the tripod and camera for a photo of them with the view and sunset. But she didn’t know Nolan was counting the “blinks” of the camera’s self timer and just before the photo snapped he knelt down on one knee.

These two go together like chips and salsa and their love for each other made photographing them almost effortless! We survived the heat (holy moly Texas!), monster spiders and being ate alive by mosquitos…and we still had so much fun!

I can’t wait until their special day next summer!
