Last year Joseph and Elisabeth’s engagement session in the San Juan mountains was one of my favorites from the fall. I’d looked forward all year to get to see them again and celebrate their wedding! Like so many weddings recently, Joseph & Elisabeth had wedding plan changes, date shifts, and the works. But everyone worked hard and got everything pulled together for their special day at their home outside of Durango Colorado.
One of the neatest parts of the day was Josephs’s face when Elisabeth surprised him by riding a friend’s Cremello mare down to the ceremony site. It was a beautiful touch and he was grinning from ear to ear as she hopped down from the saddle and started down the aisle.
And how cute are the little flower girls? They were using their daddy’s hats as “petal baskets” but once they were empty they both just plopped the hats on their heads.
Special shoutout to Lady Southwest for her beautiful floral installments! It was so much fun to get to know her, hear her story and photograph her beautiful work! Also how pretty are Elisabeth’s shoes by Wildflower Leather Company?!?!
