Audrey’s family farm was buzzing with close family and friends as everyone worked and laughed together to get everything ready for the intimate ceremony and relaxed reception. A tractor pulling the local fair ground trailer shuffled people up and down the hill while the mules hung their heads over the fences watching the goings on.

The Virginia sky was blue and the sun shone warm and bright on a day that was supposed to be cold, cloudy and rainy. Everything for this intimate hilltop wedding fell together exactly how it needed to in preparation for the moment Audrey rode the mule she’d grown up with to her favorite spot, the place where she would become Josh’s wife.

As the sun set on the horizon and the day came to a close, Josh & Audrey shared their first dance with the song “Ready to Stand” sung by Davey Stamey himself.

I feel like I say this about every time, but I am seriously blessed by the opportunities I am given to get to meet and work with such wonderful folks and this bunch was just so much fun!

Ps. The feathers in the florals and decor details were provided by the lovely Christmas turkey the bride shot herself…and that totally made my day to realize that. #mykindofbride
