Sam had threatened to “fake propose” a few times before actually popping the question, so when he got down on one knee Lydia wasn’t convinced. But he’d picked up the ring earlier that day and simply could not wait any longer to REALLY ask the girl he could imagine a lifetime with to be his bride.

It’s been a while since I’ve shoot “local” New Mexico so I was so excited to be headed back down to my old Las Cruces area haunts to meet this Texas couple. The Oregon Mountains and White Sands backdrop they chose for their engagement session was absolutely stunning and a perfect mix of southwestern scenery.

The love and chemistry these two have for each other made capturing them so much fun. I’m so tickled to have had the opportunity to get to know them and wish them the best of luck in their future together!

Ps. Nelson gets photo credit for some of the White Sands shots. I LOVE LOVE LOVE when he gets to go with me and he really nailed some great shots. If he keeps it up I’m gonna have to start paying him an extra candy-bar.
