Where does one begin to put into words Steven & Tori’s wedding day? Thank goodness a picture’s worth a thousand words right? Because I think the pictures are the only thing that can do justice to all the precious moments and meaningful details.

It felt a touch ironic that a New Mexican photographer was headed to Florida to shoot at the Santa Fe River Ranch, but that also means I know that Santa Fe means “Holy Faith” in Spanish. And I think those two words are truly a wonderful way to describe the foundation of Steven & Tori’s love for each other.

Everything about this wedding day was a dream come true. If I were to die today, I’d die one heck of a happy wedding photographer. The sweet love letters shared, the moment grandma’s cross was hung on the bride’s neck, the look on the grooms face when his bride walked down the aisle, the tears streaming down daddy’s face as his baby girl read her vows to her groom, the newlyweds walking into the sunset…oh man, I’m getting teared up writing this. I guess I’ll just have to let those pictures speak.

Moments after becoming Mr & Mrs, Steven & Tori came back down the rose petal aisle and paused for a kiss in the grand doorway, which is going to be placed as the entrance to their home. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get better than that! Oh wait, it does…

We slipped back out from the reception as the sun set on the Florida horizon. Grabbing his horse from the stall (the one he’d trained to kneel the day he proposed…see their engagement.) Steven took Tori by the hand and led her out into the pasture where a bunch of curious pairs (mama/calves) came up behind to see what we were up to…providing the perfect backdrop for this stunning ranch wedding.

As the evening came to a close, the newlyweds exited under a canopy of sparklers and drove off into the night in the old pickup that had been restored by both sides of the family specifically for that moment. See I told you it kept getting better!

Words can’t express how honored I was to be chosen as their photographer and entrusted with the joy of capturing their love. And I pray that Steven & Tori’s lives together will be as beautiful and full of love as their wedding day.
